Obituary for Dennis Wayne Milby
Dennis Wayne Milby, 75, left this earth on Sunday, January 22nd to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.
He retired after 35 years of service with Virginia Department of Transportation and continued his employment for the next 11 years with Riverside Convalescent Center in Saluda.
He enjoyed drawing, painting, hunting, NASCAR, watching football and classic car shows.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Bennie and Ann Milby. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 22 years Katherine Thrift Milby, his son Curtis W Milby, his grandchildren Mackenzie and Zebedee, his brother Timothy Milby and his Aunt Frances Carlton.
Services will be held on Sunday, January 29th at New Hope UMC. Visitation will be at the church 1 – 2 PM and the service will follow at 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the New Hope UMC Cemetery Fund, 2638 Lewis B Puller Memorial Highway, Saluda, VA 23149, Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad, 17684 General Puller Hwy, Deltaville, VA 23043 or the Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 71, Urbanna, VA 23175.
