Obituary for Frances Prince Wilmore
Frances Prince Wilmore of Laneview, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20th, 2022, with her loving family by her side.
Frances was born on January 5th, 1940, in Richmond, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late William Russell Prince and Mary Almira Goode Prince. She is preceded in death by her five sisters and four brothers.
Frances is survived by her husband 61 years, Wilbon Simms Wilmore; her beloved and devoted son, Darren Simms Wilmore, and his wife Page; her cherished and much-loved granddaughters, Emily Ryan Wilmore and Elizabeth Claire Wilmore; and many nieces and nephews. She was truly loved and will be missed by all.
Besides her extraordinary personality, she was known for her love for her church, Glebe Landing Baptist Church, where she could be found every Sunday playing the piano or organ for the congregation and choir. She loved cooking and gardening, but her devotion to making a home for her family was her core priority. Her most prized relationship came with her granddaughters, and her everlasting and enduring love for them never withered.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 24th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks Bristow Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 12:00 p.m to 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Glebe Landing Baptist Church, Laneview, Virginia.
