Obituary for Gary Michael Goolsby
Gary Michael Goolsby, 68, of Mathews, Virginia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1991 after serving his country for twenty years. His retirement papers stated, (All you ever heard were sailor’s going up and down the halls saying, “Ask Goolsby, find Goolsby!”)
He was preceded in death by his stepson, James Paul Allman, Jr., and is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie and stepdaughters, Constance Nosay and Dawn Henning and also his half-brother Dwayne Allen. He loved all three of his stepchildren dearly and he was the best husband that his wife could have ever asked for. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends will gather privately at Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Mathews, where his ashes will be entombed to celebrate his life and share memories of Gary. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews assisted the family with arrangements.
