Obituary for Gwendolyn Hall Godsey
Gwendolyn Hall "Singie" Godsey, 92, of Gwynn, Virginia passed away from this life to the next on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. She was born on April 10, 2023, on Gwynn's Island to Mary Elizabeth and James E. Hall.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sleet Godsey; her daughter, Gloria Godsey and two brothers, James T. Hall and Carlton Brownley.
Singie is survived by her daughters, Mary Godsey and Ellen Hudson (Jim); granddaughter, Kate Ohlhausen (Neil); great granddaughter, Hannah; and her brothers, Larry C. Brownley (Ruth) and Dalton D. Brownley, Jr.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Gwynn's Island Cemetery.
Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews is assisting the family.
