Miss Janice Brewington Miller transitioned to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, October 7, 2022. Outgoing, generous and loving, she was known by all who met and knew her. Additionally, she served as the Chairman of the Board, the Flower Chairman and was a highly valued member of the church choir. She was a pillar in the Mathews Woman’s Club, the Homemakers Club, and a member of the Eastern Star.

She has been preceded in her transition by her husband, Charles Claiborne Lane Miller; brothers, Randolph Brewington, Paul Brewington; sisters, Kathleen Williams, Phyllis Bunch, Norma Jean Surwila; and son in law Willie Owens. She is survived by her brother; John Brewington; daughters, Ann Davis (Stephen), Pam Morris (Nelson), Catherine Owens; and son, John Claiborne Miller III (Sheryl); grandchildren, Jeffrey Robins (Kati), Tom Davis, Laura Davis, Brent Morris (Rachel), Megan Thacker (Kevin), Amanda Kemp (Austin) and Brian Owens; great grandchildren, Charley and Maggie Robins, Paige and Luke Morris, Leyton Thacker, and Tyler Lane Kemp.
