Johnson Kanady III of Deltaville, Virginia died on February 24, 2021. He was seventy-three. Born in Waukegan, Illinois, he grew up in Springfield, Illinois. In 2000, he and his wife formed Kanady & Quinn, P.C. where they practiced law together for seventeen years in Richmond. Johnson was proud of his work representing non-profit agencies that provide affordable housing.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Quinn; daughter, Elizabeth Kanady; and granddaughter, Shyanne. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to a charity or to a non-profit provider of affordable housing.
