Obituary for Leonard James Jenkins
Leonard James Jenkins, 79, of Port Haywood, Virginia passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023. He was a United States Army veteran. He attended Salem United Methodist Church, and was an avid lover of hunting and being in the “swamp” or fishing. There were not many days that he missed buying lottery tickets from many gas stations in the community.
He is survived by his wife, Lois George Jenkins; two sons, Steven Todd Jenkins and Leonard Michael Jenkins; daughter-in-law, Cassie; six grandchildren, Matt, Savannah, Brett, Lauren, Christian, and Jordan; and a great-granddaughter, Maisie.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel followed by full military honors at Windsor Gardens & Mausoleum Cemetery, Dutton, Virginia.
