Obituary for Patricia "Patty" Griffin
Patricia A. “Patty” Griffin, 61, of Tappahannock passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019. She was the Gifted Education Specialist for Henrico County School Systems. Patty was a member of the National Association for Gifted Children, the Virginia Association for the Gifted and the Virginia Advisory Committee for the Education of the Gifted.
Patty is survived by her husband Richard D. Griffin; her three children, Richard Garland Griffin (Ashley), Benjamin William Griffin (Laura) all of Tappahannock, Olivia Ann Hudgins (James) of Colonial Beach; her mother Carol Larsen Finlay and sister, Diane Pettway both of Chesapeake; five grandchildren, Madison Lee Griffin, Emily Ann Hudgins, Avery Belle Griffin, Blake Andrew Hudgins and Harper James Griffin.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019 in Faulkner Funeral Home, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock with the Reverend Rick Moore officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in memory of Patty Griffin to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, 6 Herndon Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403, www.cbf.org.
