Obituary for Pearl Renell Kennard (Callis)
Pearl Renell Kennard, 93, of Deltaville, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2021 after a long stay in a nursing home under hospice care. She was born June 1, 1927 in Middlesex County, daughter of the late Otis and Nancy Callis.
Renell along side her husband, Harold owned and operated Kennards Crab Bar in Deltaville for many years. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Renell was preceded in death by her husband, Harold F. Kennard, Sr.; two sons, Harold F. “Bubba” and John Richard “Ricky” Kennard; one grandson, Marvin Dwayne Collins; two brothers, Leonard and Clyde; and two sisters, Sally and Marie.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Estis (Marvin, who is deceased); her son, Wayne (Trish); daughter-in-law, Connie (Bubba, who is deceased); granddaughter, Annette Bryant (Billy, who is deceased); two grandsons, Sandy and Brandy Kennard; four great grandchildren, Jennifer and Allison Bryant, Mac and Olivia Kennard; and four great great grandchildren, Addisyn, Kiptyn, Jamisyn and Sawyer. And many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial gifts may be made to Lower Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department or Lower Middlesex Volunteer Rescue Squad both in Deltaville, VA 23043. Arrangements by Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda, VA.
