Obituary for Robert E. "Bobby" Shackelford
Robert E. “Bobby” Shackelford, 88, of Water View a U.S. Navy veteran and retired waterman, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020. Bobby was a member of Hermitage Baptist Church, the Virginia Waterman’s Association and a charter member of the Water View Volunteer Fire Department and was honored to be names Captain of the 2006 Urbanna Oyster Festival Parade.
Survived by his wife, Vivian M. Shackelford; a daughter, Kathy S. Thrift (William); a granddaughter, Sherry Williams (Wesley) and a great grandson, Landon.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 31, 2020 in Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Hermitage Baptist Church Cemetery, Church View.
